Islahul Muslimeen provided 8 rickshaw vans at Kanaighat

Own reporter: Rickshaw vans have been provided to 8 poor families in Kanaighat Upazila with the help of Income Support Program of Muslim Welfare Institute UK, a UK based charitable organization and the initiative of Islahul Muslimeen Parishad Bangladesh.

Under the overall supervision of Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Maulana Abdullah Shakir, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Bariul Karim Khan handed over a rickshaw van to seven working families in front of the Upazila Parishad office at 3pm on Saturday. Present at the occasion were Maulana Abul Hossain Chatuli, Chairman, 5th Barachatul UP, Ali Hossain Kajal, Chairman, 3rd Dighirpar East UP,Nizam Uddin, general secretary of Kanaighat Press Club, Mao, assistant teacher of Darul Uloom Madrasa. Local journalists including Asad Ahmed, businessman Aftab Uddin, Shamim Ahmed Bakul.
Abdul Malik and Angur Mia, the only earners of the poor family who got the rickshaw van, said in a voice full of emotion, "None of us can afford to buy such a rickshaw van." Getting a rickshaw van completely free of cost today will bring a lot of mobility back to our family by earning a living.
