Corona's paw at Kanaighat Health Complex

A crisis has arisen among the doctors in charge as several doctors, including the THO of Kanaighat Upazila Health Complex, have been affected by the corona. This is disrupting the medical services in the hospital.
Considering the matter seriously, the conscious community has demanded the authorities to send a doctor with THO status to the health complex at the time of the Corona disaster.

It is learned that after the outbreak of Corona, Dr. Sheikh Sharfuddin Nahid, the THO of the hospital, was attacked by Corona on May 26 and the Acting THO was handed over to the Resident Medical Officer, Dr. Abul Harish. If he also gives a sample of Corona, his report on June 6 came positive. When the medical officer Dr. Faizur Ahmeduzzaman Khan was given the charge, his coroner's report also came positive on June 10.

Five more MBBS doctors on duty had earlier given samples of corona, but their report was negative.

Due to which at present there is no qualified doctor to be in charge of the THO of the hospital, which is hampering the day to day activities of the hospital. According to hospital sources, MBBS doctor Dr. Kulchuma Begum is currently performing official duties. Dr. Utpalendu Biswas, Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer of the hospital, was attacked by Corona. His Corona report came back negative. He is healthy but has a ring in his heart and is currently at rest.

Besides, Dr. Nasrin Rahman, Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer of the hospital, Yazul Amin, Health Inspector, Masuk Ahmed, Assistant Health Inspector, Radhika Rani Deb, Deputy Assistant Health Inspector of Family Planning Office and Jamal Uddin, Office Assistant of the hospital were injured in the incident. Jamal's subsequent negative report is actually that he is staying at home due to health reasons.

Among the victims, THO Dr Sheikh Sharfuddin Nahid was admitted to Shaheed Shamsuddin Hospital after his condition deteriorated. Other doctors with corona and home quarantine are also reported.

When contacted, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Bariul Karim Khan said that the prevalence of corona in Kanaighat is increasing day by day. Several doctors, including Dr Sharfuddin Nahid, the hospital's THO, were attacked while trying to provide medical care. Due to which I have come to keep the overall medical activities of the hospital running. The officials in charge of the health department will take the matter seriously and take appropriate action in this regard.
